A portfolio is the rare project where you’re the client, the developer, and the deadline. Here’s what survived contact with all three.
Portfolio rebuilds are where side projects go to die, because the client (you) keeps changing the brief. The version that finally shipped had one rule: the site exists to show work, and every element that isn’t work has to justify the pixels. Content as data, pages as templates Every case study and article lives in a plain data module — no CMS, no markdown pipeline, no build magic. Adding a project is editing one file. For a site that changes a few times a year, a CMS is a subscription to complexity you don’t need. What Vue earned Honestly? The router and the reactivity, and that’s enough. Single-file components keep each section’s template, logic, and it’s-just-this-once styles in one place. The whole site ships under 60KB of gzipped JS, and the framework disappears into the background — which is the highest compliment I can pay a tool.
