Bookort is a sports venue booking and management platform that connects players with places to play. Players can discover venues, check court availability, book time slots, join Open Play sessions, and pay online through a mobile-friendly website. For venue owners and staff, Bookort brings schedules, bookings, check-ins, payments, rentals, shop orders, and customer communication into one system. It supports businesses with multiple locations, while a central platform console handles venue verification, refunds, and payouts—making it easier to manage daily operations and deliver a consistent booking experience.
Bookort is a sports venue booking and management platform designed to make finding a court and running a venue easier. It connects a customer booking website, a venue management dashboard, and a platform operations console in one application. Players can discover venues, check availability, reserve courts, join Open Play sessions, and pay online from their phone or desktop. The development challenge was keeping bookings, schedules, and payments consistent across different users and locations. A reservation made by a player online needs to follow the same availability and pricing rules as one created by front desk staff. Venue owners also need clear control over their teams and locations, with each business’s information kept separate. As the full stack developer, I worked across the customer experience, administrative tools, and backend services. The application uses Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with Prisma and PostgreSQL managing its data. Shared availability and pricing engines keep booking behavior consistent, while database constraints protect against conflicting reservations. PayMongo handles online payments, supported by a transaction ledger that tracks payments, refunds, and venue balances. The interface follows Bookort’s Figma design system, using reusable components to keep the experience consistent across screens. Customer flows focus on choosing a venue, selecting court time, reviewing the cost, and completing payment. Venue tools bring together booking calendars, check-ins, rentals, shop orders, and customer communication, with permission-based access tailored to staff responsibilities. The resulting platform supports both the player’s booking journey and the operational work behind it. Automated tests and continuous integration provide regression checks as features evolve, while the shared architecture gives Bookort a foundation for extending its services across more venues and locations.
